Determine Your Size: How to Measure
To find your correct bra size you will need your bust and underbust measurements.
Underbust Measurement
Place the tape measure around your body beneath the breast and breathe normally. The underbust measurement will tell you your band size.
Overbust Measurement
Measure your circumference at the fullest part of your bust with your arms down and relaxed. It's best to wear a non-padded bra while taking this measurement. The overbust measurement will tell you your cup size.
Note: The measurements and size chart can only serve as a rough guide, as bra models can vary in terms of material, cut, and finish. Determining the correct size can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.

Understanding Cup Sizes
Each cup size corresponds to a specific overbust measurement relative to the band size. HANRO offers a total of eight cup sizes across 20 bra sizes.
Did you know? Size 80A/36A has the same cup volume as 75B/34B and 70C/32C. Only the underbust circumference changes. These are known as "sister sizes" and can be helpful if your usual band size feels too tight or too loose.

How to Put on a Bra Correctly
"Take your time and keep the bra you are trying on for a few minutes. Move your arms, sit down, and stand up again. Like shoes, bras need to be broken in and will become more comfortable over time. But if it pinches or tugs right away, you should try a different size or style."
Frauke Nagel -- Designer & Product Developer
Underbust Fit
Slip your arms through the straps and pull the front band or underwires under the bust.
Clasp the Closure
Fasten the hooks at the back. Lean forward slightly to allow your breast tissue to settle naturally into the cups.
Position of Underband
When you put the bra on for the first time, first clasp it in the widest position and then, if comfortable, place it on the centre hook. Make sure that the underband is horizontal and does not ride up at the back.
Centre Gore Check
The centre front piece (gore) between the cups should lie flat against your breastbone. If it lifts away, the cups may be too small.
Position Breast in Cups
Place one hand between the cup and the breast and lift the breast into the cup from the side to the front. The breast tissue should lie completely in the cup and the underwire should frame the breast. With non-wired styles, the underbust band should sit firmly under the breast without riding up.
Strap Length
Finally, check the length of the straps. They should fit snugly but without digging in. As a rule of thumb, you should be able to fit two fingers between your shoulder and the straps. Remember: The support of the cups comes mainly from the underband and the back, not from the straps.
The Perfect Fit Checklist
- -The band sits level around the body and does not ride up at the back.
- -You can fit two fingers under the band comfortably.
- -The centre gore lies flat against your breastbone.
- -The underwire encases all breast tissue without pressing into it.
- -Cups are smooth with no wrinkling (too big) or spillover (too small).
- -Straps stay on the shoulders without digging in or slipping off.
Straps
Check the straps. They should lie firmly on your shoulders without digging into the skin. If they leave pressure marks, you should extend the strap length. The cups are held in place by the underbust band and back, not the straps.
